This website has no user accounts, comments or file uploads — the only personal information you give us here is what you enter in our enquiry form. Information you give us
When you send an enquiry through our contact form, we collect:
- your name, company name and email address;
- your phone number, if you give it;
- details of your enquiry — what you need, your project description, approximate quantity, target timescale;
- how and when you prefer to be contacted.
Please don’t include anything in your message that we don’t need to deal with your enquiry.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
We use this information to reply to your enquiry, prepare any estimate or quotation you ask for, and follow up with you about that enquiry.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and, where you are asking for a quotation or for work to be done, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We do not use the information from enquiries for marketing mailings, and we do not sell it.
Who we share it with
Enquiries are received by our team at DSR Group. So that the right specialist can respond, we may pass your enquiry to the relevant company within the group: Thornton Print, Northumbria Blow Mouldings, PMP Nameplates or Liquiform.
We host this website and our email ourselves, on our own systems in the UK. We don’t share your information with anyone else unless the law requires us to.
Information collected automatically
- Website security. To protect the site against attacks and spam, our security software (Wordfence) and our web server record technical information about visits, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested.
- Map. Our contact page shows a map provided by OpenStreetMap. To display it, your browser connects to OpenStreetMap’s servers, which will see your IP address. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.
- Cookie choices. Your cookie preferences are stored in cookies on your device — see our Cookie Policy.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information only for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any work that results from it, and to meet our legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.
Where it is processed
We store and process your information in the UK, on our own systems. The map on our contact page is provided by OpenStreetMap, whose servers may be located outside the UK.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, or restrict how we use it. You can also object to us using it, and in some cases ask us to transfer it to you or to another organisation. To make a request, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.
